GROUP Live Announces Support for VMware

Two worlds – One platform: Using GROUP Live and VMware to benefit from the synergy between cloud computing and virtualization

August 29, 2011 – Frankfurt / Germany – GROUP Business Software (GBS) announced today their award winning Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) product, GROUP Live, now supports VMware. GROUP Live and VMware ideally complement each other. While VMware provides basic functionalities for the virtualization of physical resources, GROUP Live enables more efficient application automation and central cloud management. GROUP Live allows users an easier way to integrate VMware environments into private or public clouds – in a very short time, without any adjustments, and using existing infrastructures.

GROUP Live automates and simplifies all relevant cloud delivery processes such as networking rules, security, user management and monitoring.It provides a central, web-enabled management for VMware environments, while extending the capabilities of the existing VMware technologies for effective cloud computing. This means organizations as well as software vendors can deliver their applications through the cloud (i.e. SaaS) without making any changes to the code.

Using GROUP Live, VMware users can implement their own private cloud from an existing VMware infrastructure and, where required, integrate it into their own Intranet. This brings together isolated environments under a central management platform so you are able to manage both the entire cloud ecosystem and the virtual business infrastructure through a single interface. In addition, customers are provided with comprehensive monitoring and reporting features to control their VMware environments in the cloud.
